Review: Fashion 21 All Day Matte Lipstick - All Day Bronze

Hi everyone! Are you looking for a "My-lips-but-better" or a "Kylie-Jenner" type of lipstick? Then this might be for you. Today I decided to review the Fashion 21 Matte Lipstick in the shade of "All Day Bronze" Their matte lipstick line offers a lot of wonderful shades but when I saw this one I fell in love! I know that there are a lot of nude lipstick out there out this shade is so unique and perfect! Just what I wanted in my nude lipstick.

Details:
Where to buy?
Almost everywhere that sells makeup.
(SM Dept. Store, Landmark, Robinsons Dept. Store)

How Much?
Less than PHP 200.

Left: Fashion 21 in All Day Bronze                 Right: Sophie Paris Lipstick in Velvet nude

Here is a side by side comparison of All day Bronze and Sophie Paris lipstick in Velvet nude for reference. This shade is just perfect! It can be worn on a daily basis and it can also be worn on special occasion.

Here is a makeup look that I did for the Oct-Nov Graduates(That I'm still editing). As you can see it's not super dark nor light. This can also be an affordable "kylie-Jenner" type of Lipstick. You can over line your lips with this and you can totally make your lips a bit fuller.

Thoughts:

Good:
· The shade is perfect! This will suit a lot of skin tone. From morenas to meztisas it will look great. This shade is universal.
· The packaging is sleek and sturdy.
· It's affordable! This is probably is one of the most affordable TRUE matte lipstick.
· It's available almost everywhere! Just look for the Fashion 21 store.
· It's a TRUE matte lipstick! Meaning there will be no glimpse of shine in any angle.

Not so Good:
· The formulation can still be improved. It can be a bit drying on the lips.

My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♡ (4/5 Hearts) I deducted one star because I fee like the formulation really needs to be improved. But over all I love this! I have been using this almost everyday!

Thank you so much for visiting! ♥
Let me now what you guys think of the lipstick.
Have you tried it?

Review: Iwhite Moisturizing Facial Wash

Are you searching for a good but affordable facial wash? Well you just might get lucky because, today I'm gonna review Iwhite's Moisturizing facial Wash.

Last year, instead of buying my trusty Panoxyl, I purchased a couple sachets and try-out bottles of facial washes from the drugstore. Don't get me wrong I love Panoxyl's facial wash because it did not broke me out but the thing was it doesn't remove the excess oil and makeup.

Alright First things first, I have a combination skin. My T-zone can get really oily but the other parts are just normal. Plus, my skin is also sensitive and acne prone. So it is important that my facial wash can remove the excess oil and makeup without having to rub it too much.

Details:

Available at any leading drugstore and malls.

Price:  PhP 139 / 70 ml bottle

PhP 20 / Sachet

Here is what the actual product looks like.
Summary of my thoughts:
Good:
✔ Doesn’t dry out my skin. It gives enough freshness to the face

✔ Removes makeup, excess oil, and dirt thoroughly

✔ Very Affordable

✔ Has a cooling effect on the skin.

✔ Revitalizes my skin

✔ It did not broke me out. Thank God! :D

✔ It has a SEAL!

Not so good:
✘ Whitening – I’m not a fan of whitening products because I love my skin just the way it is but, I cannot stop using this because my skin had improved a lot after using this. :D I think it brightens it actually.

TIP:  Wash your neck and the back of your neck with this as well, just to even it out with you face.

My Rating: ♥♥♥♥♥ 5/5 hearts

All in all I super love this product, it amazed me. It has been my holy grail since the day I discovered it. I also tried other products from Iwhite and I loved it. I will do a review soon, so make sure to follow me.

Thank you so much for dropping by,

if you have a blog too leave the link on the comment section so I can follow you too.

Review: GlamWorks Permanent Hair Dye Color

I'm sure if you have been to Watson's, then you've probably seen this. Did you ever wondered if this thing really works? Or are you planning on purchasing this product? Before you do, read this post first. Now lets put this baby on a test!

I have been hunting for a great, convenient, and cheap hair dye for months now. With this product I thing I found it ;) I tried the ones form US brand products to our locally available products. And none of it seemed to work.  Then one day I picked up this GlamWorks Permanent Hair Dye Color, and I said to myself its okay if this will not work its only 49 pesos.

GlamWorks Permanent Hair Dye Color
Shade: Light Browm
PHP 49.
Available at: Watson's, SM department stores.

There are 4 shades available (if I'm not mistaken): black, medium brown, then the red one and Light brown. I picked light brown because the medium brown seems like for the blondes.

This is what is says at the back.

And when you opened it you'll see a sachet which is the colorant.

And then a disposable gloves. Which is very much needed since your gonna use this as a shampoo. Horay! They we're able to prove a glove for PHP 49! :D

And a little instruction at the back with illustrations.

I used a whole pack for my hair and I kept it for 45 mins. Because I have oily hair and I just really want to make sure that this will work. During the waiting* I did not felt any stingy sensation on my scalp. When I touched my hair it felt really hot, but I cannot feel that its hot unless I touch it.

As you can see it did a great job! i liked it a lot. and all I have to to do is to shampoo it and viola! But as you can see the color is not super obvious, so if you really want to lighten your hair you have to bleach it or better go to a salon. :)

TADA! Here is what it looks like. Notice that its not super even, but its normal since before the application my hair color is not that even also. And I am not aiming for super light brown.

All in all I will give this product a 10/10!
It does its job!
No uncomfortable feeling during the application.
Colored my hair really nicely.
Incredibly cheap!
Easy to apply.

Note: This is not safe to use daily or even as frequent as you want. Try to wait for 1-2 months for the next application. :)

WARNING: Use this product at your own risk. I suggest that if you will try this out, do a skin allergy test 48 hours before the actual application. Click this link to know more about skin allergy testing. Thank you.

Review on: Avon's Colorlast lipstick in Lucky Orange

Hi everyone! I'm back with a review of Avon's Colorlast lipstick in Lucky Orange :D

5 months ago I bought this to an Avon shop near our place. I wasn't really suppose to buy this one but the the one I ordered will no longer on stock Boo hoo :'( I super love their Glowing cream pa naman! It really makes my acne scars disappear in few weeks. If an Avon Lady is reading this right now, please bring back the Glowing Cream! :D I hope they will restock again.

Anyway, the sales told me that she cannot return the money that I gave her because she already submitted it to her boss so she suggested that I replace it with something else. She handed me the brochure for me to choose.

I decided to get this one because I super love the shade of it. Perfect for everyday use :D

It comes in a small twist up tube. Was that even the proper term for that? Basta you get the drill :)

This costs PHP 139

Here are the ingredients and This was taken to the best of my ability :D Please forgive me if some of the words are almost unreadable. I'm too lazy to type it :D

Tada this is what it looks like on my lips with natural lighting. Its a bright orange lipstick perfect for this summer yey! :D

It has a hint of glitters in it. Super tiny lang naman.

BTW, I used this on my Summer Makeup Tutorial in Youtube.

Here's my Verdict on this lipstick

Good:
The shade is super perfect :D I love it
It doesn't have any nasty smell.
Super pigmented.
For 139 I think its affordable.
Has a Cute Purple packaging.

Bad:
It is not long lasting even if it claims to be.

That's all for this review :D Thank you for dropping by! :)

Review on: Pinkies Collections Cream Foundation

Isn't that frustrating and annoying to have a bad skin? That's why I decided to purchase this product because I have been breaking out for the past few months and I wanted to cover up the unwanted "visitors" on my face.

Although it is not the best Idea since wearing makeup can make the situation worst, I will still wear one because I don't want to go out with lots of redness on my face! :D

I first saw this product in one of the videos of say(link) and I was instantly convinced by it. So I went to SM dept. store to purchase one. It only costs me P 249 or roughly $ 5.

I was just a bit concerned about the word "TAN" there. This was the lightest shade according to the sales lady. *update: They already have a two shades lighter than CFC-03, which are CFC-02 and CFC-01. BTW it was made in FRANCE. whoa

Ingredients:

On the first time that I applied it on my face I was a bit disappointed. The shade is a bit off to me(CFC-03). I was expecting that it was warm(yellowish). But when blending it turns into a cool(beige) undertone. By the way I use a sponge to blend it.

On the 2nd time, I decided to dot it all over my face and blend it with my fingers. :) and viola! It matched my skin tone and It covered up all of my imperfections and redness without the use of concealer.

In my opinion you can go out without setting it with powder if you have a normal skin type, but since I have a combo skin type I have to set it with powder, I used to use Maybelline's all in one cake foundation but the it tends to cake up that's why I switched to Avon's shine control powder in almond.

This photo was taken before I started to use benzyol peroxide that's why you can see few bumps on my face. Anyway, Pinkies Collections Cream Foundation was able to conceal it all. :) Amazing!

This was after few days of using it. As you can see the bumps are gone now, and my skin is super better than before.

*I swear I did not Photoshop these photos :)

All over thoughts on this foundation:

Good:

A little goes a long way. Super pigmented.
Can cover up acne and acne scars etc...
Super cheap I got his at 249 Php only!
Stays intact all day long.
The Logo the name and the packaging is cute and compact :D

Bad:

It has a tendency to look cakey if you over apply it.
Has a little bit plastic scent, but it is totally tolerable. And the scent fades away once you apply the product on your  face.
Prone to bacteria contamination, because its wide open. I just keep it closed and I make sure to use clean fingers or a brush. :D

Will I repurchase? yes!, but I'll probably try the CFC-02 shade :D

Over all rating 9/10 This is the only affordable foundation that really works! :D

Thank you for your time! Hope you found this helpful.

Review on: Sophie Paris lipstick in Summer Pink

I just recently bought this lipstick because I noticed that I don't have any light pink lipstick and I really wanted to wear one. And I remembered that Sophie Paris lipsticks has a nude pink lipstick which is Summer pink. I have read a lot of good review about this shade and I wanted to try it out myself.

The nearest Sophie Paris Store in our place is just at the gate of our subdivision. Lucky huh? :D

I was super tempt to try it on when I open it and saw the bullet of the lipstick, but I controlled myself because I wanted to take a photo of it with a good condition.

Link of their latest catalog here.

Here is a swatch of it.

I already have Ice Pink shade from the same line. This shade (summer pink) is a little bit lighter than the ice pink I have a review on it here. And both has a cool undertone.

Summer Pink and Ice Pink side by side (I'm sorry if it looks crappy, I accidentally ruined the bullet and never used it again)

2 different looks, wearing the same lipstick.

I was a bit disappointed about the shade I thought it would be a little bit warmer. But then I will still wear it and I still find it pretty.

I would say that I will probably gonna wear this lipstick with a bolder makeup or at least with an eyeliner. This is not the type of lipstick that you can wear on a daily basis with light makeup on or else it will look undone.

Overall thoughts:

GOOD:

  • Very Pigmented
  • Its super Cheap at only 79 pesos
  • Long lasting. This stains your lips so it will not leave your lips as pale at it was. Perfect if you are expecting to eat/drink.
  • Doesn't have a nasty smell. Although it has a scent that I cant describe, it totally tolerable.

BAD:
  • The color is inconsistent. I think It darkens on your lips throughout the day.
  • The design of the tube fades away, that's why I did not totally removed the plastic cover to protect it.
  • Only available at Sophie Paris' store/agent.
Rating: 8/10

Will I repurchase. Probably no. I'll find another lipstick brand for the shade I'm looking for. But I will still wear this occasionally. But If I am going for a statement lips then I would definitely go for this one.

How about you? what do you think of this shade?

Thank you for visiting!

Avon's Totally Kissable lipstick Review

Today, I'm gonna be doing a review on this Avon's Totally Kissable lipstick. I'm sure you have seen its TV ad already.  Its only 299 with a free Ideal oil control pressed powder.

Anyway, I got this in the shade of deep orchid, and I super love it. It makes my face brighter and it will also look great on morenas out there.

The packaging is really awesome, I think it looks like a bullet of a machine gun or something that has to to with firearms. Or maybe its just me :)

And yes Ms. Anne Curtis is the official endorser of it here in the PH. Doesn't it look gorgeous on her?

Btw, they also have other shades like the pink ones, and red. I just chose this one.

This is actually my first time to have a deep color lipstick. No regrets because I love the color. This also reminds me of their ultra rich moisture lipstick? (which also has a variety of great shades) because its super pigmented and at the same time its moisturizing. Its not that super matte.

Deep orchid has a deep plum color.

And this is the free powder. Ideal oil control pressed powder. I got the shade in natural.

            My thoughts on this product

Good:
  • It is not that matte, so even if its super pigmented it will not make your lips dry.
  • Perfect formula of the shade.
  • Awesome packaging. Its nice to have a nice looking lipstick on your makeup bag :)
  • No nasty smell, but it has a hint of vanilla smell upon application.
  • Great deal, because of the promo by just purchasing this  for 299 you'll be able to get a pressed powder for free.
Bad:
  • Even though its is called totally kissable lipstick, I don't think its an ideal lipstick to use when your expecting to kiss someone, whether on the cheeks or on the lips because it will surely gonna transfer.
  • Only available at Avon stores and Avon dealers.

Though this lipstick isn't that long lasting, it will probably gonna last up to 3-4 hours? But if you'll apply a lip liner, it will make it last longer.

My Rating is 8/10. Relatively cheap for its quality. :)

Thats it. Thank you for your time. :)
