DIY: Memory Box from a Tabacco Container.

Here is a tabacco container that I bought from a garage sale while visitng my grandma at Calamba City. There are lots of stuff there like accessories, clothes, DVDs, and containers. And this is what caught my eye the most. If you were able to read my previous post you might already know that I am a huge fan of retro era from 1920's to 1950's. This really looks super OLD and Vintage-ish :D

I only paid PHP 20 for this container :D

I did replace the ugly looking green felt paper to a new black felt paper which is only PHP 20. :)

Then to lessen the sound that it makes when closing it, I decided to glue a felt paper on the edge.

On the top part, I just painted it black to match the black felt paper.

And this is the black paint. I got this with a set which is a bit expensive but you can individually purchase it at PHP 35 I think? Basta mga ganon...

And this is the pait brush that I use. This also comes in a set but its super cheap. I got this for PHP 18.00.

While waiting for it to dry, I am eating these chunky cookies. I don't know what this was called but its super yummy and sweet.

Top: Felt Paper. Bottom: A picture that I cut out of a magazine.

TADA! here is the end product! :D

I hope you guys find this helpful/entertaining. Do you also love to check out a Garage Sale, Thrift Store, or Ukay-ukay? Me I love going to those places places because you'll see the most unexpected things ever :D

If you have a blog leave a comment with your blog link so I can visit yours too! :) ♥

  1. Great DIY. You can place all sorts of memorabilia here. I wouldn't use a picture from a magazine though. hahaha. But if you can also use put another picture on the other side, this can also serve as a picture frame.
